Children Have Always Been at the Center of God’s Heart

I can’t get this story out of my head. This ministry, ‘Father’s House’ based in Ukraine, is geared toward children and orphans who are in desperate situations. After I read their newest update I simply had to get it out for you to read. If a stranger can care and love so deeply for a lost and abandoned child, how much greater is the Lord’s love for us?

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Christian Aid Mission for supporting our ministry to orphans and children left without parental care in Ukraine. Thanks to your support, many children have found new loving families. One of them is Valya. Continue reading

“Let the Little Children Come Unto Me”

A ministry from Buenos Aires sent us a special report about their children’s ministry:

“We give praise to God that we were able to have so many activities for the children during the Christmas season. As a result, almost 200 children and parents accepted Jesus. Glory to God! The Lord has enabled us to finish 2011 in victory and we declare this New Year will be very glorious.   Continue reading

Freedom and Uzbekistan? Two words that don’t go “hand-in-hand”.

Uzbekistan, officially the Republic of Uzbekistan is a doubly landlocked country in Central Asia and one of the six independent Turkic states. It shares borders with Kazakhstan to the west and to the north, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to the east, and Afghanistan and Turkmenistan to the south.

Uzbekistan is defined as “an authoritarian state with limited civil rights” and there is profound concern about “wide-scale violation of virtually all basic human rights.” Continue reading

Spreading the Good News in Kyrgyzstan

In September, the gospel meetings were held. Through music, Bible reading, and simple examples from religious people’s lives, people could hear that God is alive. Every meeting ended with an invitation to come to God and with prayer for healing and needs.  Those meetings were held for three evenings and every time more people came and prayed. More than 42 people came to God and trusted Him with their lives. They experienced happiness, for their sins were being forgiven. Continue reading

Ministry Update from the Middle East

We received this ministry report recently and wanted to share with you what the Lord is doing in the Middle East. This ministry works in various countries. Don’t miss his prayer requests at the end!

The Lord has blessed us abundantly with His grace, which leads us from glory to glory every day in the ministry. Things in the Middle East may look complicated and not well. Chaos permeated most Arab countries because of the demonstrations and protests against the repressive regimes. The dead were falling every day for this reason, but the Lord works in the midst of crises to raise up for Himself a people who lift up His name.

Iraq

The Lord’s work is continuing to bring about substantial freedom in the center of Iraqi society, which is recovering from periods of tough wars. The Iraqis today are more open and more receptive to hearing the gospel. A lot of churches have been started and a lot of houses have opened their doors to home church meetings. Continue reading

Persecution in Lebanon

A ministry leader felt moved to share with us a story for prayer. Since they are reaching Muslims with the gospel they regularly find themselves in these types of situations.

We went to visit a new house group that we had started. As we approached the house, a young lady ran toward our car and asked us to change our plans. She said, “Please, brother, don’t come to our house today. Just wait for us at our neighbor’s house and we will come in an hour.”  Continue reading

The Harvest is Plentiful!

Dear Friends,

Thank you very much for your prayers and financial support. For the last few years we had many significant political and economic changes in the countries of the Former Soviet Union. In some regions the opposition increased between Protestant churches and so-called religious leaders of the “government church.” Ukraine is still the only country that has an absolute right to conduct evangelization on the streets. Continue reading

Syria/Lebanon

You’ve read about the politics of the Syria/Lebanon situation in the news and media, and now here is your report from a ministry leader working among the Syrian refugees and muslim host families in Lebanon.

“There are many Syrian refugees in Lebanon escaping from the turmoil in their home country. I can understand why our government will not want to share what is really happening in northern Lebanon. Continue reading

What’s Burma Thankful For, You Ask?

It was 1999 when Tial Nu, a missionary from a Burmese based ministry, went to a city, void of any Christians, where he would spread the gospel. Today he leads a body of 27 believers. “He is a very brave missionary – a man of prayer who moves forward on his knees,” says Tial’s ministry leader.

Recently Tial was visited by the authorities who warned him again not to worship in his home. Continue reading
